Welcome to Paradise Dive Center

Paradise Dive Center or PDC is a family owned and run business that has been open in Paradise California for over 10 years. During that time we have established a reputation for going the extra mile for our customers.

We are a full service SCUBA center offering a great variety of gear, training, and services. PDC offers a wide selection of high quality dive gear at reasonable prices. We currently stock over 30 lines of equipment. Our fully trained staff is able to answer any gear questions you may have.

We have 3 instructors on site everyday, including one of the only full time female instructors in the North State. We also have several affiliate instructors who work through our store. What this means for you is that we are able to work with your schedule. With SCUBA classes of any level there is no pass or fail. We understand that people learn at their own pace and comfort levels are different for everyone. That's why we don't set a time limit on your learning experience. How ever long it takes, if you're willing and able to continue we will work with you until you complete your training.

Classes

As the IDEA Regional Training Center for the entire west coast we offer a full range of recreational scuba classes.

Paradise Dive Center is also a member of and offers instruction through the Public Safety Diving Association (PSDA). Classes through this agency are tailored to Fire, Police, and Rescue Personnel and are designed to extend a department's ability to respond to water-related emergencies and cases.

We start Open Water SCUBA classes one a month minimum. Our other classes are scheduled to coincide with our Open Water trips each month. Please contact us for our current class schedule.

Travel

Paradise Dive Center offers a minimum of 5 guided warm water trips per year. We strive to find the best value for your travel dollar invested focusing on all inclusive destinations. Here are just a few of the current trips we have planned.

We have a trip to Cozumel planned for October 9th to October 16th 2008
This 2008 Cozumel trip is to one of our favorite places, The Fiesta Americana !

We got great rates for our air and the resort!!! Unfortunately space is limited and will be sold on a first come basis!!! Get your Deposits in to hold your spot!!!! (Deposits are $300.00 per person. Diver and Non-diver)

The cost of this trip is only $1,799.00 per DIVER double Occupancy or $1,499.00 per NON_DIVER double occupancy.*

We will do every thing in our power to find room mates for single travelers, however if one cannot be found, the single person is responsible for paying a single supplement of $350.00.

Cost of this trip includes: Air Fare, Departure taxes ,Air conditioned accommodations, 5 days of 2 tank dives, Shore Diving, tanks and weights, Non motorized water sports, ALL Meals at resort, and ALL Beverages at resort.

Outside expenses NOT included in selling price for this Trip are listed: Daily Marine Park Fees, meals or beverages outside of Resort, Jeep or Moped rentals, Taxis to and from the airport , and Dive crew gratuities.

Prices are per person, double/triple occupancy. Weekend and seasonal supplements and restrictions apply. Rates, itinerary, conditions and availability are subject to change.

We are now taking deposits for the May/June Yap/Palau trip.

Services

Paradise Dive Center is also a certified repair facility for several major brands of diving equipment. Our staff should be able to handle almost any of your annual gear servicing or maintenance requirements.

Our Rental program is known as being one of the least expensive programs in the North State. We have a large supply of rental dive and snorkeling gear from xxs to 5x large we will have the suit to fit you.

Who we are

Duane Meyer: I have been a recreational diver since 1966. I have been an instructor for about 20 years. I am now an instructor trainer evaluator and teach all levels of recreational diving. I am also a level 4 instructor with the Public Safety Diving Association. Through the PSDA I teach all levels of public safety diving, from shore support to instructor level 4.

Joyce Meyer:

Bob Meyer: I have been with PDC for over 8 years now both as the sales force and as a SCUBA instructor. I was originally SCUBA certified in 1992 while living in Northern Idaho. Since that time I have advanced through the ranks and have attained my Instructor Card with IDEA. Besides helping with in house sales, teaching classes, and my duties of webmaster for this site, I also run a small game store in one corner of the dive shop. It makes for a very fun and full workday.
